Jason M. Cuéllar, M.D., Ph.D.

 

After completing a Ph.D. at U.C. Davis in Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology, where he researched the mechanisms of pain and pain pathophysiology within the spinal cord, he attended Stanford University Medical School.

He then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at New York University-Hospital for Joint Diseases (NYU-HJD). While at NYU-HJD, he completed an extra year as a musculoskeletal research fellow, performing both basic science and clinical research. His final year of training was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in the combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic spinal disorders fellowship.

Dr. Cuéllar is currently a spine surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, CA, where he focuses on artificial disk replacement and motion-preservation spine surgery. He is an assistant professor in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and is partner to Dr. Todd H. Lanman.
