This is the next level in the Cedars-Sinai’s Unconscious Bias Education Series. As we work to create an environment of inclusion and belonging and advance health equity, this education provides an opportunity to: highlight the rich history and mission of caring for the underserved; understand how our brains process information and make associations and assumptions that can have a negative impact on patients, colleagues, and our culture of inclusion and belonging; and, provide our workforce with tools to mitigate and interrupt unconscious biases.

1. Understand concepts of privilege, prejudice, discrimination, and possess the tools needed to address each proactively
2. Be familiar with how various social groups experience bias and the history behind discrimination
3. Recognize instances of inequity in their own workplace and community environments
4. Have the ability to reflect on their own experiences with bias and use that lens to advance their individual DEI journey

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation Statement
