2025 Advanced Physicians Leadership Development Series

Occurs monthly on the 2nd Thursday starting on 1/9/2025 at 5:00 PM

The Development series includes a series of evening lectures once a month. Through this series, and in conjunction with the annual Medical Staff leadership retreat, participants will learn the basics of Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff governance and gain an understanding of the organizational structure and operations of the Medical Center while gaining leadership skills. Presentations include issues and challenges facing the future of healthcare, e.g., Population Health and Total Cost of Care, and how we can best prepare for change. In addition, as part of the program, participants will manage a project, specific c to the organization, allowing hands on use of the tools, principles and concepts of human-centered design and lean thinking. The Program also provides participants with networking opportunities with colleagues from different specialties and members of Executive Management and Medical Staff leaders.

1. Demonstrate competence is applying PI methodology in Human Centered Design and Lean Thinking in performance and process improvement.
2. Learn the basics of Cedars Sinai Medical Staff governance.
3. Gain an understanding of the organizational structure and operations of the medical center while gaining leadership skills.
4. Gain networking and learning opportunities from colleagues on the medical staff in other specialties and members of the executive management.

In support of improving patient care, Cedars-Sinai is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

AMA Credit Designation Statement
Cedars-Sinai designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Non-Physician AMA Attendance
Attendance credit will be provided to other healthcare professionals upon the fulfillment of attendance requirements. Participants should ensure in advance that their credentialing or licensing organization accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
