Overview
This educational activity is intended for heart failure specialists, general cardiologists, critical care and infectious disease physicians interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of management, treatment options, and monitoring for patients with advanced heart failure and transplantation.

Objectives
  1. Understand and describe the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic criteria, methods of risk stratification, and management of patients with cardiac amyloidosis.
  2. Understand the risk of infectious complications in post heart transplant recipients and describe best practice for use of vaccines in this population, including risks and benefits.
  3. Evaluate the potential of Molecular Diagnostics in the detection of rejection in heart transplant recipients.
