Overview
The Preterm Nutrition and Growth Conference will bring multidisciplinary professionals caring for premature infants together to discuss important aspects of care that impact nutrition and growth in this complex population.

Objectives
  1. Evaluate the cost benefit evidence for exclusive human milk based nutrition in preterm infants to inform resource allocation and policy development.
  2. Apply individualized strategies for parenteral nutrition management by calculating and adjusting macro and micronutrient components based on clinical and laboratory parameters.
  3. Analyze current data on the short and long term health outcomes associated with EHM based nutrition to guide clinical nutrition decisions.
  4. Differentiate between types of intravenous lipid emulsions and formulate an evidence based lipid initiation and advancement plan for VLBW infants.
  5. Evaluate an enteral feeding strategy tailored to the unique needs of extremely preterm infants, incorporating tolerance indicators and growth monitoring tools.
  6. Evaluate and apply emerging nutrition research through team based collaboration to optimize clinical outcomes

In support of improving patient care, Cedars-Sinai is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
