Overview
The 2025 Orthopaedic Trauma and Arthroplasty Symposium will present a review of new techniques to address common fractures encountered in practice as well as common challenges in arthroplasty for management of degenerative joint disease. Didactic sessions focused on new and emerging concepts will be presented by expert faculty. Case based discussions will take place with moderating panels. Additionally, skills labs to make the concepts discussed more granular will be off ered.

Objectives
  1. Share experience and approaches to challenging cases with colleagues and expert faculty to enhance understanding of recommended treatment and management strategies.
  2. Recognize the challenges posed by bone loss, infections, complex revision joint reconstruction, nonunions, and other issues and take steps to mitigate complications and adverse outcomes.
  3. Identify unique and difficult fracture patterns and problems in the orthopaedic trauma patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases.
  4. Identify unique and difficult patterns and problems in the orthopaedic joint replacement patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases.
  5. Apply performance improvement tips to improve interactions that can result in enhanced patient and provider outcomes and experiences.
  6. Incorporate an interprofessional teambased approach in the management of common and complex fractures and complex joint replacement surgery.
