Overview
Genetic deficiencies of lysosomal components, most commonly enzymes, are known as "lysosomal storage disorders" (LSDs) and lead to lysosomal dysfunction, broadly affecting peripheral organs and the central nervous system, debilitating patients and frequently causing fatality.
