Overview

The conference provides a chance to educate and update community-based clinicians on best practices for multi-disciplinary management of thoracic cancer across the Cedars-Sinai cancer network. The sessions will address the role of surgery, advances in radiation oncology, and current best systemic therapies along with highly debated treatments in thoracic cancer, medical imaging and pathological advancements. In particular molecular pathology will also be highlighted together with presenters for immuno-oncology, survivorship, medical genetics, and pharmacy.


Objectives
  1. Apply evidencebased medicine to improve diagnosis, treatment, and overall management of patients with thoracic malignancies.
  2. Assess current and evolving practices in the treatment of thoracic cancer to help define outcomes and treatment options for patients.
  3. Incorporate an interprofessional approach to improve the care of patients with thoracic malignancies
  4. Use AJCC or other appropriate staging in clinical practice, including appropriate prognostic indicators and evidence based national guidelines for treatment planning.
