How do I create an account?

1) Determine if you already have an account:

YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT IF:

  • You have previously attended a Cedars-Sinai CE activity
  • OR You joined the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff prior to August 2023

2) If you already have an account, based on the above criteria, but you do not know which email is used for your account:  

  • Please contact the Cedars-Sinai Office of CME for assistance.  Do not create a second account.
  • For existing Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff (prior to August 2023): Your login email is the primary email on file with the Medical Staff Office.

  3) If you determine after reviewing the above that you do NOT already have an account:

  • If you are a healthcare professional from a Cedars-Sinai Health System Affiliate organization, please use your organization email address when creating your account
How do I register for an On-Demand or Live course?

On-Demand Courses:  Go to On-Demand Courses, select the course and click Details. Please be aware that some on-demand courses are only available to affiliates of Cedars-Sinai.

Live Courses: Go to Live Courses, select the course and click Register.

Is Maintenance of Certification (MOC) available for all courses?

No, MOC is available only for courses that have clearly noted MOC on the activity page and materials. There are additional steps required to obtain the points. Once points have been successfully awarded, this information is sent directly to the applicable board and should appear in your member profile for the board

What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy?

All cancellations must be submitted in writing and refunds will be subject to an administrative charge. No refunds will be given 2 weeks prior to conference date. Please e-mail cancellation request to [email protected]. If you do not receive confirmation of your cancellation via e-mail, please call (310) 423-5548.

Right to Cancel or Postpone: Cedars-Sinai reserves the right to cancel or postpone any registration or course. In the event that Cedars-Sinai must cancel or postpone a course or your individual registration, the registration fee will be fully refunded.  Cedars-Sinai is not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline, travel or lodging agencies.

How do I complete an Evaluation and Obtain my Certificate?

Certificates are available only after completing the activity evaluation.  Certificates are not available for individual RSS sessions (grand rounds, tumor boards, etc.), however they will appear on your transcript (see next section below to view/download your transcript).

To complete an evaluation and obtain your certificate for most activities*:

  1. Login to your CME Portal account. 
  2. Navigate to MyCME and then select Evaluations and Certificates.
  3. Find the activity in the list and click the Complete Evaluation button.
  4. After the evaluation is submitted, find the activity again on the Evaluations and Certificates screen.  The button will now read Download Certificate. Click the button to view/download the certificate.

* For some activities without pre-registration through the CME Portal, the evaluation can only be accessed via the link provided at the conclusion of the activity.  If you are unable to relocate the link, please contact the activity organizer or the Cedars-Sinai Office of CME for assistance.  Note that you will need to login to the system to complete the evaluation, and the certificate will be found afterwards as described in #4 above.

Where can I view my CE Transcript?

To view CE credits, log-in to the CME Portal. Click on MyCME and then Transcripts and set the date range. You can email or print your transcript from the portal.

Can I participate in Regularly scheduled series (RSS)?

Regularly scheduled series (RSS), which include grand rounds, case conferences, and other internal meetings, are intended for members of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff and affiliates. Healthcare professionals that are not affiliated with Cedars-Sinai are not eligible to claim CE credit at this time.

How can I make sure I receive CE credits when I attend RSS sessions?
  • Be sure to record your attendance for any session you attend.  See next section below for instructions.
  • If credit is missing from an activity that you know you attended, please contact the RSS coordinator for the series or the CME Office.
How do I record my attendance for RSS?

IMPORTANT:   Attendance via either option below must be recorded between 15 minutes before and 90 minutes after the session meeting time.

OPTION 1:  Via Text Message - available from US/Canada cell/mobile phone numbers only: 

1. A unique code will be provided at each session.

2. Text the provided code to (323) 531-5399

3. Ensure you receive the reply, "Thank you. We have recorded your attendance for..."

Text attendance troubleshooting:

  • If you receive the reply, "User not found in system" after texting - Pair your mobile number with your CME Portal account. This is a onetime process.

1. Determine if you already have an account (see above).

2. Add your mobile number to your profile - 2 options:

  • Send a reply text message consisting of the email address used to log into the CME Portal (see above) to opt-in to the text message attendance program.
  • OR Log into your CME Portal account online or via the app and complete the "Mobile" field on the My Profile screen.

3. After successfully pairing your mobile number, resend the unique text attendance code to record attendance for the session you are attending

  • If you receive the reply, "Attendance error...Outside meeting times", contact the CME staff person for the RSS. Attendance can be recorded only between 15 minutes before and 90 minutes after the session meeting time.
  • INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS:  If you have a mobile number from outside of the US or Canada, you must record your attendance via the Claim Credit Screen (see Option 2 below).

OPTION 2:  Via Claim Credit Screen:

1. A unique code will be provided at each session.

2. Login to your CME Portal account and navigate to MyCME->Claim Credit.  Attendance can be recorded only between 15 minutes before and 90 minutes after the session meeting time.

3. Follow on-screen prompts to enter and verify the unique code for the session.  Ensure you see the message confirming your attendance was recorded.  Click Submit to complete the process. 

RSS Faculty: How to Complete an Online Disclosure Form?

To complete or update a "Disclosure of Financial Relationships" form, look for the disclosure button in the footer below. Login is required. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the form to complete the date and click "Submit".

Annual Conference Faculty: How can I access Faculty Forms?

To access the Faculty Forms that you have been assigned to complete,Log in to the CME Portal and click Faculty in right navigation bar, then follow the instructions on the page.

How do I join the Cedars-Sinai CE mailing list?

I no longer want to receive mail regarding CE conferences, how can I request to be removed?

You need to ask to be taken off the American Medical Association's mailing list directly; we do not have the authority to remove your name. Please contact the AMA for information regarding removal from AMA mailing lists.
