Overview
The 18th Annual Women and Ischemic Heart Disease Symposium will explore sex and gender-specific issues in women’s cardiovascular health, including prevention using life’s essential 8, cholesterol management, GLP RA for treatment of Obesity, Hormones, heart failure detection, diagnosis, and management, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Coronary Microvascular Disease.

Objectives
  1. Identify the social determinants that can influence women’s health to more effectively communicate with patients about health-related conditions and behaviors
  2. Apply best practices in screening young women for heart disease and managing women with heart disease, obesity and diabetes
  3. Explore sex differences in medicine, including remote monitoring, adherence, and symptomatic conditions
